Kevin
R. McMillan focuses his practice on civil litigation before
state and federal courts. He has represented clients in
a wide variety of matters and his experience extends across
every area of the firm’s practice areas.
His experience includes the representation of commercial clients involving disputes
related to contracts, franchise rights, employment issues,
member and shareholder disputes, UCC, real estate disputes,
collections, and foreclosures.
He represents clients in a variety
of family law matters, including dissolution of marriage,
divorce, custody, support enforcement, and prenuptial agreements.
He also has extensive experience
in briefing and oral argument before various courts of
appeals in matters including commercial litigation, divorce,
criminal law, DUI, and Constitutional law.
During law school, Mr. McMillan
served as Managing Editor of The Ohio State Law Journal.
His article The Turning Tide: The Emerging Fourth Wave
of School Finance Reform Litigation and the Court’s Lingering
Institutional Concerns, 58 Ohio St. L.J. 1867 (1998), has
been cited in over 40 scholarly books and articles.
He is a member of the Ohio State
Bar Association and the Cleveland Bar Association.
Outside of his law practice, Mr.
McMillan is a first tenor in the Hiram Men’s Chorus and
Trustee and Secretary of the Ethan A. Swift Legacy Scholarship
Foundation, Inc.

to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit
involving
federal abstention doctrine and the Twenty-First Amendment
to the United States Constitution

resolution of family law matters for clients resulting
