Bankruptcy
Attorneys Bruce
L. Mielziner and Kevin
R. McMillan are consumer bankruptcy practitioners who can help
you through the maze of filing bankruptcy under the
new bankruptcy law to emerge with confidence. We represent clients
throughout Northeast Ohio including the counties of Cuyahoga,
Summit, Lake, Geauga, Lorain, and Ashtabula. If you are overwhelmed
by the constant harassment of creditors and would like to move
past this difficult time in your life, we stand ready to assist
you.
The new bankruptcy law that took effect in
October of 2005 was portrayed as a change that would make it
impossible to file bankruptcy. However, that is not necessarily
the case. You may still be able to file for Chapter
7 or 13 bankruptcy, but it is now even more important to have
the assistance of an experienced bankruptcy attorney to guide
you through the process and to meet the detailed requirements
of the law.
Attorneys Bruce L. Mielziner and Kevin R.
McMillan have nearly 50 years of combined experience assisting
clients with their bankruptcy needs. They provide direct and
competent counsel to individuals and small businesses according
to their unique and particular situations.
At
Kabat, Mielziner & Sobel,
you will meet in person with an attorney (not an assistant) to
evaluate your personal circumstances to direct and craft a solution
tailored to your particular needs. We will advise you on whether
to file bankruptcy, and if so, whether a Chapter 7, Chapter 13,
or other bankruptcy solution is best for you. We also
represent small businesses and their owners in bankruptcy related
matters.
BANKRUPTCY MATTERS FOR BUSINESSES
Due to our extensive experience in representing
businesses, Kabat, Mielziner & Sobel also offers competent representation of businesses in bankruptcy related
matters. We have experience in adversarial proceedings before
the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts
of Ohio. We ensure our business clients’ rights and interests
are preserved throughout bankruptcy proceedings in collection
matters, protection of security interests, foreclosures, preferences,
and other matters relevant to businesses.
BANKRUPTCY IN FAMILY LAW
At Kabat, Mielziner & Sobel,
our experience in handling family law matters extends to the
bankruptcy arena, particularly in light of the new bankruptcy
provisions related to property division, and child and spousal
support. If your domestic relations matter has been complicated
by your
spouse or ex-spouse filing for bankruptcy, please do not hesitate
to contact our office so that we may guide you through the process.
Pursuant to the new federal bankruptcy law,
we must advise you that we are a debt relief agency. We help
people file for bankruptcy relief under the bankruptcy code.
